Annual Referee Meeting Info Manual
All referees please do not start a game without game cards! All referees please check in at the referee table and highlight your name. Update the schedule if you change positions and mark them on your game card also. WRITE YOUR NAME CLEARLY. I cannot understand 3 letter abbreviations, crosses and wavy lines as being your name. All referees please make sure to register with the referee on-line system if you like to have your team receive referee points. Go to our website www.region73.org. Go to the Home page or the Referee page and click on the button. Referees please fill in the game cards completely! We will have a sample at the referee table how a completed card should look like. We do not need your phone number. Use the phone/e-mail field to put down the team number of your choice. Referees please if you have a U8-official training DO NOT work on U10 or above games. You will not get points and you are in violation of Safe Haven and your training until you upgrade. Basic trained referees that wear the Regional badge can work at any game if they are capable if doing the game but we encourage them to ask for observers. Referees please suspend the game when you have dogs around your fields (if there is a question, ask Anton) and ask the owners to remove them. Do not restart your play until the dog has been completely removed from the fields to the parking lot. Read the Regional Handbook if you need to know what our policies are. It is available at the Info booth and on our web site www.region73.org Players please NO jewelery, ABSOLUTELY no earstuds and earrings. Players no colored hair, no glitter, no eye shadow stripes (of any color), no bows, no hairpins, no hair clips, no combs or hard plastic/metal hair restraining devices. No rubber band around the wrist, arm bracelets, yarn bracelets, etc
Welcome to our program! You've landed here because someone's talked you into refereeing, you're ready to give it a try, or you already know how much fun it is. You can learn more about what's involved here. Signing up is easy, just follow these steps: 1. Go to www.eayso.org (the AYSO National website) and register as a volunteer. The instructions are on the home page. We are in AYSO Section 10 Area A Region 73. All adult volunteers are required to register annually with AYSO. 2. Send me an e-mail with the following information: • First and last name • Phone number(s) • Email address • Names and ages of any children that are registered to play • Any referee classes you have already taken. • The team you will represent (e.g. U12B53) - this is optional That's it. I really appreciate your volunteering. It makes a big difference to the kids. Ilene Castaneda Regional Referee Administrator
