Remember, with the recent construction and development at CSUB over the years, the AYSO Region 73 Soccer Fields are needed to host Bakersfield Business Conference. As a result, our soccer fields will be unavailable for practice from September 19 through October 15. This will also impact our game schedule (9/25, 10/2 & 10/9). During this time, there will be no games played.
U10, U12 and U14 teams will be playing three practice games the first three weeks of the season. Starting on September 11, games will count toward standings. Each team will play 8 league games. In order to schedule eight league games by November 13 (Regional Invitational will be held on 11/20), each U10, U12 & U14 team will play a double header during the regular season. Each team will only play one doubleheader, and it will usually be scheduled 90 minutes after your first game of the day. To keep it even, that game will be played against another team that has already played earlier in the day.
Please check your schedules to verify the date of your doubleheader.
Due to Area scheduling, the U19 schedule is still subject to additional changes.
Please ALL coaches, pickup your game cards and Newsletters at the Information Booth. Game cards are needed for all games U6 through U19.
It is the only legal document for the game and must be treated with respect by coaches, players and referees.
ALL players must be written on the card in Sequential order of the jersey number.
Strike through or write absent when the player is not present.
Coaches and/or assistant coaches and parents if you have not received a referee training please stay off the play field.
If you are coaching please stay off the play field.
If you are a supporter or a parent please stay off the play field.
It is a violation of our Regional Rules, Safe Haven and against the insurance policies.
If anything happens on the fields while you are trying to do some sort of refereeing or playing with the players on the field you will not be protected or insured as a volunteer.
Read the Regional Handbook if you need to know what our policies are. It is available at the Info booth and on our web site www.region73.org
